Women of Living Hope Bible Study
Our women’s Bible study meets every other Thursday evening at 2637 Sunderland Road. It is our prayer that through Bible study and discipleship, women of Living Hope Bible Church will know and love their Savior more, trusting, enjoying, and praising Him all of their days. We pray that His Word will have its sanctifying effect (John 17:17), growing women in His image (Romans 8:29; 2 Corinthians 3:18) and in spiritual wisdom (Rom 12:2) so that they may make the most of their time (Psalm 90:12), and so that God is glorified in them and through them.
A discipline of reading, studying, and meditating on God’s Word is critical. If we want to grow in His image, we must know Him through His revealed Word, and it takes time and effort to accurately handle the Word of Truth (2 Tim 2:15). Our goal is to cultivate a routine of deeper daily Bible study and meditation with growing discernment, skill, and delight in His Word. Lessons are intended to facilitate a thoughtful and rich interaction with Scripture.
Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may instruct the young women in sensibility: to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be slandered.
Titus 2:3-5
The multi-generational discipleship described in Titus 2 is our guide for building relationships, mentoring, serving, and loving one another. Whether it is on Sundays, in our Bible Study, during prayer and fellowship times, homeschool meet-ups, or in our day–to–day lives, we strive to honor Christ and to live our lives in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ (Philippians 1:27).
